We are pleased to be offering the latest innovation from Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Acuvue Oasys 1 Day with Hydraluxe™. Acuvue Oasys with Hydraluxe™ contact lenses are a new design of daily disposable contact lenses which aim to keep up with the varying 
demands of modern life and provide comfort all day long.
A staggering 59% of contact lens wearers report that their lens performance and comfort declines throughout the day. In response to this, Johnson and Johnson have created Hydraluxe™ technology to combat tired and uncomfortable eyes associated with full time contact lens wear. This technology uses a tear-infused material with an enhanced network of tear-like molecules. These molecules integrate with the natural tear film to stabilise it, resulting in a reduction of tired eyes and dryness.
Acuvue Oasys 1 Day contact lenses have been designed to have a very low frictional energy. Lower levels of coefficient friction mean that the lens is smoother at the surface and performance is maintained throughout the day. An increase in the diameter of the lens (14.3mm) ensures full coverage of the cornea during blinking to optimise comfort. In addition to this, the solution in the packaging has been improved to mimic the electrolyte concentration of natural tears. The result is a lens unbeaten in comfort.
This new type of contact lenses are suitable for all light conditions. Enlarged optics in the lenses improve vision in low light which can assist with driving in poor conditions and suit patients with larger pupils. Built-in UV protection absorbs >90% of UVA and >99% of UVB, offering the highest level of UV protection in a contact lens.*
Acuvue Oasys 1 Day with Hydraluxe™ contact lenses are available in a power range from -12.00 to +8.00. As of June 2017, Acuvue Oasys 1 Day for Astigmatism are also available. Offering more than 2260 different parameter options, even if you have been told that your prescription cannot be corrected by contact lenses before, Acuvue Oasys may be an option.
