Joseph has worked at CI Optometrists since 2015 & became owner in 2021. He has an interest in Multifocal Contact lens fitting & sits on many industry contact lens panels. His history of working at QA Hospital Portsmouth’s AMD department means he has extra experience in Macular Degeneration. He is passionate about myopia control. He loves using our state of the art equipment to make people’s lives better & always recommends the ideal product for their needs & gives practical help with any eye concern. Joe plays squash & cricket and has four young children. Favourite glasses: Joe loves his green face a face glasses

Claudine Ickeringill

Claudine Ickeringill

Optometrist

Claudine founded the business in 1990 and has a wealth of experience in all areas of optometry. Although she passed the business on to Joseph in 2021 she still works two or three days a week. Claudine is a keen golfer and loves walking in the South Downs. Favourite glasses: Claudine loves her stylish Cutler and Gross glasses

Pauline Robison

Pauline splits her time between our practice and her hospital work at St Mary’s Eye Hospital in Portsmouth. She has a wealth of diverse clinical experience and is also soon to complete her Independent Prescribing qualification. This means she can prescribe a range of medications to help you with certain eye conditions. Pauline is kept busy with her family and loves spending time outdoors. Favourite glasses: Pauline loves her Maui Jim Bi Gradient Mirror sunnies.

Mandy has worked at CI Optometrists for over ten years. Before this she worked in a range of boutique opticians in central London. She has a great eye for style and brilliant experience in all aspects of dispensing. Mandy has a young family and loves nothing more than having a Braai (Zimbabwean BBQ) with friends and family. Mandy loves her Chanel frames with elegant metal arms.

Joe joined us in 2021 after managing a large multiple opticians in Portsmouth. Joe has a passion for sports vision and has helped the practice improve its sports vision offering. Kerry joined our growing team in 2022. She brings a wealth of experience from her twelve-year career in an independent practice in Petersfield. Kerry likes to travel and spend time with her daughter and family. Favourite Glasses - Kerry loves her round colourful Woow metal frames.

Zahra joined the practice in 2014. She has past experience working in an opticians but also spent many years working as an airline steward. Zahra spends time on front of house and keeps on top of back office jobs within the practice. Zahra loves to be outdoors and is a keen cyclist and walker. Favourite Glasses - Zahra loves purple and has the perfect pair of purple mottled Lindberg acetanium frames

Emily joined the practice in 2021 having moved from the veterinary industry. She oversees all of the front of house jobs and manages our contact lens ordering and our CI Club Emily is a keen climber and loves to walk her dog Tex. Favourite Glasses - Emily Loves her Hexagonal Lindbergs.

Maria Valerio

Maria is the newest addition to our growing team. She joined the practice in 2022. Originally from Lisbon in Portugal, Maria has worked in optics in the UK since 2016. Before this she was a children’s fashion designer. Maria is a friendly face to greet you and also helps with our social media. Maria is very creative and loves to make and craft. She is a keen cook. Favourite Glasses - Maria loves her round Anne et Valentin glasses.

Livia Groves

Livia joined the practice in 2016. She worked as a dispensing optician in Slovakia before she moved to the UK over 10 years ago. She has since worked in optical labs and multiple opticians. She has an amazing memory and knows nearly all our clients by name. Livia is a keen cook and loves to spend time with her growing family.
