31/08/17Top Vintage Looks For Goodwood Revival
Goodwood Revival is fast approaching and we know you’ll soon be thinking about what to wear. Traditionally a day where the South of England goes mad for vintage attire, no other event on the Chichester calendar requires such outfit planning! We’ve put together some of our favourite looks from this season’s sunglasses collections to help you add the finishing touches to your Goodwood Revival attire.
Cutler and Gross 0710/S2 in colour SWA – A classic round with a modern twist. Featuring flat lenses to bring it into 2017 whilst retaining it’s vintage shape. Subtle green hues create a softer look than the traditional black or brown. This frame is particularly petite and would work well for those wanting something vintage but discrete. It would also be great to prescription.
Cutler and Gross 1083 in colour GC – A combination of gold tinged crystal acetate and the large soft rounded shape brings together a fun look for ladies. Best suited to outfits with a little more colour.
Oliver Peoples M4 – A true statement from decades past, the M4 has been revisited for the 30th birthday of Oliver Peoples Eyewear. This season’s version has flat glass lenses and a hand-engraved feather pattern across the metal frame giving it a subtle sophistication. This frame has been worn over the years by many celebrities such as Bruce Willis and Liam Neeson. This key accessory would complete the 1920’s New York vibe.
Chanel 4228Q – Gabrielle Chanel believed in a functional high fashion for ladies. The 4228Q gives the larger look without swamping the face. The leather edging of the lenses gives the quality finishing touch we expect from Chanel. Available in brown or pink, you can match it up with either formal looks or more flamboyant 50s styling.
Persol PO714SM – Pull off a Great Escape like Steve McQueen in Persol. This particular frame was a personal favourite of movie legend Steve McQueen and he can be seen wearing it in many Hollywood films. It folds at the bridge and temples allowing for convenient storage. Available in 6 colour options, this frame is a winner.
Tom Ford Lily TF430 Colour 59G – Not forgetting our upswept favourite. Tom Ford Lily mixes the feminine Cat Eye shape with a soft blush colour, creating a subtle femininity that blends perfectly with 1940s colours.
These are just a few of our favourites but there are many more options in store. Come and see us at 4 New Town, Chichester. Come in and see us to try on these fabulous looks.
