Hollywood based Oliver Peoples are famed for their timeless, vintage-inspired frames and sunglasses. The collection is relaxed yet fashionable, and embodies the effortless style of Los Angeles. All their frames are logo free, letting the designs speak for themselves.
Having recently celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2017, Oliver Peoples remain faithful to their heritage. Created in the 80s on Sunset Boulevard, the first designs were inspired by an estate collection of vintage American-made frames acquired at auction with a receipt signed “Oliver Peoples”.
The eyewear collection is characterised by natural tortoise shell hues and soft neutral colours. Defining signature details include delicate filigree patterns in metal trims, functional pins and structural hinges. The construction of their frames and structural integrity are key in their designs.
Continuously evolving, the collection includes styles influenced by fashion, film, art and music from the 1980s. An iconic piece still in the collection today is the Gregory Peck, modelled on his frame in the film, To Kill A Mockingbird. Since 1994 Oliver Peoples have been making frames for famed British clothing designer Sir Paul Smith, combining their skills in craftsmanship with Sir Paul’s distinctive look.
Oliver Peoples eyewear is a favourite of many celebrities including Robert Downey Jr, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lawrence, Al Pacino, Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett, Dakota Johnson and Jennifer Aniston, to name but a few.
